Who I am…
I’m Lori and I’m a creative portrait artist. I’m married to the love of my life, Lee and I’m a mother to 3 precious daughters. Yep, that’s them in the photo above. Hearing their laughs and seeing their beautiful smiles just lights up my heart. They definitely inspire me every day and are the reason I do what I love. I do believe in the power of a mother’s love and encouragement. I’m grateful to my mother for her constant encouragement to pursue my artistic nature. I’m also mom to two awesome cats and two sweet dogs. I’m a follower of Christ and pray that what I create and do glorifies the kingdom of God.

My passion is…
My passion is capturing moments of beauty, emotion, and connections with others, and then use those unique images to create original works of art to enjoy for a lifetime. When you invite me into your life, you are entrusting so much to me, and that is not something I take lightly.
My educational background…
I am a photography nerd, much preferring reading textbooks and manuals, shooting, editing, taking classes, going to conventions and mastering my craft than anything else. Photography is my actually my third career. My first one is Speech-Language Pathology with an emphasis on pre-school and elementary school age children. I have my Bachelors and Masters degrees in SLP and keep my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) current. My second and lifelong career is Mom. I think I have my PhD by now 🙂 My third and last is Portrait Artist. I’m a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Photographers of South Carolina (PPSC) and National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP). I’ve passed the intense CPP exam and will earn my Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) by 2019! This has been a goal of mine for some time.
I believe….
I believe that children are precious gifts from the Lord and I love being able to capture those sweet fleeting moments in time. I love taking lots…and I mean LOTS…of pictures of my girls, so you will certainly see them pop up here. They are and will always be my favorite client. My passion for senior photography developed in the years leading up to my oldest daughter’s senior year in high school. Realizing how important it is to savor every minute with her and collect many memories before she goes off to college became a priority. Capturing her in photographs and preserving her images brings me such joy. It is my gift to her and it would be my joy and honor to do this for you, should you ask me to be your photographer for your special moments. PS… I’m a Clemson and USC Mom! Go Tigers! Go Gamecocks! Yep, we’re a “friendly” house divided!

Special thanks to my husband, Lee. His support, encouragement and pride in what I’m doing has enabled me to be fearless in pursuing my passion. He unselfishly recognizes my need to express myself through photography and create. It is a true gift to not only do what you love, but to have the one you love encourage you.
Finally…
I am so grateful for the people in my life and love the families that allow me to photograph their loved ones. Each time a family chooses me, I’m truly honored and humbled! Although I like a laid back and relaxed approach, I take my work seriously and always strive for great poses, flattering light, creative composition and artistically retouched, clean and natural images. This is truly a rewarding experience and I cherish every moment. I believe that every image captured isn’t just a picture…it’s a time stamp of fleeting moments, it’s physical proof of love in a family. It is art.
